Week of February 4: Binkeys, Bassinets, and Goodbyes

For some reason, this week has seemed incredibly hectic. I seemed to have bitten off more than I can chew…and the projects that I had scheduled to be completed by now are beyond the back burner. Lately, I feel as though Pre-school applications are ruling us. The process here in NYC is wild. I feel as though I filled out less paperwork for my college applications!

Week of January 28: FINALLY! A DATE!

With Grace! We hit Broadway running, as Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID filled our afternoon with magic. I had Grace on my lap for most of it, and for two hours, my otherwise independent little girl was my baby again. Just to have one on one time was the greatest gift.

Week of January 21: Pumped Up, Tired Out!

I thought I was safe in my room with the door firmly shut. It was the last day of my first week back at THE VIEW. Truthfully, I was exhausted. It was 8am. I had a little while before I had to be in the office. I took a moment, closed my eyes, and somehow fell asleep over the loud, obnoxious sound of the pump....

Week of January 7: Happy New Year!

We had a fun Christmas in Arizona this year and as soon as it was over, began packing up to head back east. Taylor took his first plane ride, and was great. I tried to nurse him on the takeoff and landing, and that helped make him more comfortable. Thankfully, Tim's mom traveled back with me, as Tim had meetings with his team for a couple more days. It was much more tricky with two children than with one...

Week of December 31: A Mom's Gotta Do...

As I write, I am on the eighth hour of Taylor being in my arms. The poor little guy has had a rough day. Lots of gas...which means lots of attempts to comfort him – be it feeding him, changing him, sitting on a ball while holding him, bouncy seat swaying, singing, feeding again. Running the water in the sink seems to help him the most, and the sound nearly puts me to sleep!

Week of December 17: Road Trip Gone Wrong

This week has been nuts! I am just hoping that our Christmas cards get to the right people, as I addressed them on ZERO sleep. Thankfully, Tim helped out, so at least half of them should get to their respective homes!

Week of December 10: MOMMY, WHY ARE YOU STILL IN YOUR P.J.'s?

Grace posed the question as we drove in the car the other day. True, I was still in my pajamas. Also true: it was close to 2pm. I had not even noticed myself…as I have been in the same outfit for nearly three weeks! Leave it to a two and a half year old to set you straight...

Week of December 3: Wanted: SLEEP

Thankfully, I feel as though I am turning a corner physically, aside from lack of shut-eye, and actually have been walking more and more each day. I have been eating almonds like crazy...

Week of November 26: Taylor Thomas Hasselbeck Has Arrived!

Where to begin... as the last week has been both a blessing a complete blur! I heard that the second child can rock your world, but to experience it is beyond words...

Week of November 5: What's New in Arizona

Still no sign of baby #2 yet! I am having some contractions at night that make me think it may happen soon! I have been having a hard time getting out of bed… especially because I get up at least 4 times, either for the bathroom, or for Grace…

Week of October 26: The Big Day is Almost Here!

Well here we are in Arizona!
I left right from the live show on this past Tuesday to get approval from my OB-GYN in NYC to fly across country, and then straight to the airport, medical records in hand. Everyone at THE VIEW sent me off with lots of warmth, and I miss hot topics already! The flight seemed long… but I busied myself, and Grace, by reading her favorite books over and over again. I never underestimate the power of stickers, as well, when you have a toddler girl…

Week of October 8: Getting Ready for The Arrival

I have been telling myself to write down everything… especially since Grace was born… and truthfully, in the beginning, I was entirely committed to doing so.
