Week of Febuary 4: Binkeys, Bassinets, and Goodbyes

For some reason, this week has seemed incredibly hectic. I seemed to have bitten off more than I can chew…and the projects that I had scheduled to be completed by now are beyond the back burner. Lately, I feel as though Pre-school applications are ruling us. The process here in NYC is wild. I feel as though I filled out less paperwork for my college applications!

Touring the adorable little places for the little kiddies to learn is my favorite thing to do. I get so thrown into their weekly projects, and artwork...that I sometimes think I missed my calling to teach. It is energizing to see how masterfully organized and inspiring the rooms are!

Being there, however, reminded me that I have TOTALLY dropped the ball on potty training. I was all organized about it before, and I think even Grace is wondering what happened. (Either that, or she is missing all of the candy we were giving her when she would go). I moved the sticker chart that I made for her to the living room, more of a reminder for ME to actually encourage the training, than for her, at this point. And Supermom STILL has not weaned her off of the binky or blanky yet. Where do I start? Potty training, then binky, then blanky? Binky, then potty, then blanky???

Meanwhile, Taylor has grown out of his bassinet. We have been keeping him in our room, but soon he and Grace will share one. I have a feeling that between the binky fairy coming, and Taylor moving to big-sister's room- NO ONE will be sleeping in the apartment.

SO- there is my immediate checklist, in addition to having YET to write thank you's for the incredible gifts that Taylor and Grace received for his birth, and Christmas. (I am embarrassed to even admit it.) I wish that I were more organized…Thankfully, I have the best mommy-friends to bounce ideas off of, and help me justify all of my flops!

It is hard to believe that this will be my last entry of what has been a most enjoyable journey! Having all the "happenings" to look back on is something that I will, without a doubt, treasure for life. My thanks to you for checking in and joining me, and to the entire Dreft team for providing me with this opportunity to share it all with you!

Best Wishes,
Elisabeth
